Pretzel Ring w/ Cream Cheese Mustard Dip

Inspired by the Deschutes Brewery Appetizer...but made with frozen dinner rolls. This is the perfect Game Day Appetizer!

thaw rolls for pretzels

The pretzels are made from frozen dinner rolls (I like Rhodes brand). Take out 10 rolls and allow them to rise and thaw for 3 hours.

create balls and cook in baking soda water

Cut each roll in half and create 2 small balls. Cut an "x" on top and cook for 1 minute in boiling water with baking soda. Drain on a rack.

make a ring of pretzel rolls in a cast-iron pan

Take each roll and place it in a ring around a cast-iron pan. Brush with an egg wash and sprinkle with coarse salt.

mix together the cream cheese dip

Mix together the cream cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, heavy cream, and salt with a hand mixer on low (or with a spoon and some elbow grease 💪🏻).

pour cheese dip in the middle of pretzel ring

Pour the cheese mixture into the middle of the pretzel ring in the cast-iron pan. Bake for 32-35 minutes.

make a ring of stone-ground mustard on top

Remove the pan from the oven and make a ring of stone-ground mustard on top of the cheese next to the pretzels.
