This Lucky Charms Green Martini is the perfect drink to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Its green color comes from pulverized cereal marshmallows and is combined with vanilla vodka and Irish cream. Enjoy this sweet and fun cocktail at your next celebration!

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces Vanilla Vodka
  • ½ ounces Irish Cream (I used Bailey's)
  • 2 tablespoon whipped cream (sub heavy cream for a less sweet drink)
  • 1 teaspoon pulverized green marshmallows from Lucky Charms cereal *see notes
  • extra green powder and marshmallows for garnish

Instructions

  • Add fresh ice to a cocktail shaker along with all of the ingredients.
  • Shake well until nice and cold. Shake a little more to be sure everything is combined. Strain the drink through a fine-mesh strainer into a cocktail glass. Sprinkle the top with additional green marshmallow powder and garnish with a marshmallow from the cereal. Enjoy immediately!

Notes

  • To turn those cute little green marshmallows into a powder, you can use a coffee/nut grinder, a small food processor, or just smash them with something heavy. I use my mini coffee grinder for everything including this cocktail (see picture below). If you choose to do this by hand, place the marshmallows in a plastic bag and crush them with something heavy like a rolling pin. You may also want to wrap the bag in a towel or paper towel to keep the bag from breaking while smashing. TIP: this only works with freeze-dried marshmallows like the ones in cereal, not regular squishy marshmallows.
