Ingredients

  • 2 ounces whiskey or bourbon of choice
  • 1 ounces peach syrup
  • ½ ounces freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters (or citrus bitters)
  • cherry, lemon wedge, or peach slice for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare a cocktail glass with fresh ice. Place all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until nice and cold, about 10 seconds.
  • Strain into the prepared cocktail glass and garnish with a cherry, lemon wedge, or peach slice. Cheers!

Notes

This cocktail can be made with whiskey or bourbon (see below for differences). A traditional Whiskey Sour calls for an 80-proof bourbon which will add the perfect flavor to the sweet and sour elements of the drink.
If you want to taste the alcohol a little more, try a 100-plus-proof whiskey. And if you want more of a punch from your whiskey, try a rye whiskey, which will give you an extra boost of flavor.
