Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces blueberry simple syrup
  • 1 ounce heavy whipping cream or half and half
  • 4-8 ounces club soda
  • whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)
  • fresh blueberries for garnish

Instructions

  • Make the blueberry simple syrup first. You can make this ahead of time and store it in the frdige until you are ready to use it so that it is nice and cold.
  • Prepare a tall glass with fresh ice.
  • First, pour in the blueberry syrup and then the heavy cream.
  • Slowly pour in the club soda until the bubbles reach the top of the glass.
  • You can serve layered or stir it with a spoon first. Top with whipped cream and fresh blueberries. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can add an extra flavor boost by adding cream soda to the drink instead of just club soda. Cream soda will add a layer of vanilla flavor as well as a little more sweetness.

How to Make Blueberry Syrup

Blueberry Simple Syrup is easy to make and you can use fresh or frozen blueberries. Simply bring blueberries, sugar, and water to a boil. Stir and mash the berries with a masher.
Remove the pan from the heat and allow the mixture to steep as it cools for at least 1 hour. Strain the solids from the liquid and you have the syrup. For the full recipe, check out my Blueberry Simple Syrup recipe.
