This Boozy Eggnog Cocktail takes store-bought eggnog and kicks it up a notch with added brandy, amaretto, and freshly ground nutmeg.

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce brandy
  • ½ ounce amaretto
  • 2 ounces eggnog
  • 1-2 ounces milk (optional for a less thick drink)
  • freshly grated nutmeg
  • whipped cream (optional)
  • cinnamon stick for garnish

Instructions

Cold Boozy Eggnog Cocktail

  • Add all of the cocktail ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake for 10-15 seconds. Strain into a cocktail glass. Top with whipped cream if desired and grate fresh nutmeg over the top. Serve immediately.

Warm Boozy Eggnog Cocktail

  • Warm the eggnog in a saucepan over medium heat. You want it to be hot, but not boiling (you can also microwave the eggnog in a microwave-safe mug for 1-2 minutes depending on your microwave). Once hot, pour the eggnog and liquors into a mug or heat-safe glass. Stir gently, top with whipped cream and nutmeg, and serve immediately.
