Orgeat syrup is probably most famous for its role in the classic Mai Tai cocktail. It is also used in other tiki-inspired cocktails as well as other craft cocktails like my Hibiscus Margarita and my Gin Tiki Cocktail.
This version of homemade Almond milk orgeat Syrup is a little shortcut to get the almond syrup you know and love without the mess! The best thing about making your own syrup at home, like my Rich Demerara Syrup and my Lavender Simple Syrup, is that you can customize the flavor to your liking.
What is Orgeat?
Orgeat is an almond cocktail syrup with added flavors like orange blossom water and rose water. Some versions use orange extract or almond extract like this one.
Orgeat can be made from whole almonds, but I found that using almond milk is easier, less messy, and tastes just as great. Make sure you are using unsweetened almond milk for the best results.
Ingredients for Homemade Almond Milk Orgeat Syrup

This is the bomb! I used it all by sneaking sips of it straight out of the bottle instead of waiting to make cocktails with it!
