Why I Love This Passion Fruit Martini
I love this Passion Fruit Martini because it has all the tropical flavors you crave in one glass, just like my Passionfruit Margarita and my Guava Passion Fruit Cocktail. The color of this drink is pretty spectacular as well which makes it even more fun to drink.
Creating craft cocktails at home is awesome because you can make them however you want! This cocktail can be altered to be sweeter or sourer and you can use flavored vodka or regular vodka.

How to Make Passion Fruit Puree
If you can find fresh, ripe passion fruit you can make your own puree. You will need at least 2-3 passion fruits for this cocktail.
Cut each passion fruit in half and dig out the middle with a spoon. Stir the pulp and then use a mesh strainer to remove the seeds. You can also use your spoon to lightly press on the pulp to get all of the goodies you want through the sieve.
If you purchase frozen passion fruit, allow it to thaw in the fridge or on the countertop. If there are chunks of fruit, give it a quick zip in a food processor or a blender. You can also find passion fruit puree online.
Can I use Regular Vodka?
Yes, you can use non-flavored vodka for this recipe. Since vanilla vodka is usually sweeter than regular vodka, you may want to add a little more simple syrup, but it's up to you.
Another vodka that would be delicious in this cocktail is citrus vodka. Use the same amount and taste for desired sweetness.
What Garnish to Use for this Cocktail?
I really wanted a dried passion fruit slice to use as a garnish but I didn't want to waste any of that delicious pulp! A lemon or lime twist or edible flower would make this cocktail even more beautiful, but I think the color speaks for itself.
What Sweetener to Use for a Passion Fruit Martini
For this recipe, you can use simple syrup or agave syrup to sweeten the cocktail. For a flavor twist try Orgeat Syrup or Rich Demerara Syrup.
